Types of collected data

Many medical institutions participate, and since most of them are large hospitals with an average of 600 beds, we have secured cases not only in primary areas, but also in specialty areas such as rare diseases, intractable diseases, and cancer. This is a database that can meet the expectations of all use cases.

The data collected by the Millennium Medical Record Database will be diverse, including medical receipt data *1 , DPC data *2 , and electronic medical record data. As a certified business operator under the Next Generation Medical Infrastructure Act, it is expected that this information will be integrated into medical data and used to promote national health and pharmaceutical development.

*1 Receipt data: Medical data obtained from documents submitted by hospitals to public institutions to claim health insurance and other remuneration.

*2 DPC data: Medical data obtained from a format used to calculate medical fees per day according to the name of the disease and the type of treatment.

Examples of data items handled

The Millennium Medical Record Data contains not only medical receipt data and DPC survey data, but also electronic medical record data, making it possible to use it for more detailed analyses, such as understanding the actual state of treatment in clinical practice and evaluating outcomes.
